There are two main service areas in which I have skill.
The first is dramaturgy and assessment of playscripts. This deals with not only the position of the current script and its literary potential but also the stagecraft, the many possible ways of enlivening the script.
I also deal manuscripts: generally prose and storytelling. I am interested in the structure of story and how best to tell story, so I have dealt in my time with musical scores, as well as young adult novels, verse novels etc.
I am known as a structuralist – but my main aim in both playwrighting and prose writing is to tell the best story the best way possible.
